ONE FOR THE ROAD
September-October 2006 Our
Heritage
Although it received much less
publicity than the Detroit Zoo situation, The Detroit Historical Society
has taken over the operation of the Detroit Historical Museum. To promote
the re-opening of the museum, new displays were set up in the ultra-modern
lobby of Compuware. Russ Murphy loaned his 1954 Caribbean convertible to
the cause, and John MacArthur helped him bring his Packard downtown.
If you haven’t visited the Detroit Historical Museum recently, do it soon.
Our city’s heritage is a long and colorful one that we can all take pride
in.
